Abigail Sumrie is a freelance installation artist based in Central London, specialising in site specific original work for exhibitions / festivals / events / performances.
She is also one half of the creative collective ABBY AND ALICE:
Abigail was attending Brighton and Hove High school when she discovered her passion for art. After getting the art scholarship to her sixth form she soon secured her place on the foundation course at Central Saint Martins. It wasn't until here that she came across the Performance Design pathway and began to see a future in set design. Now two years into a BA (Hons) in Performance Design and Practice at Central Saint Martins her joy for site specific installation has come to light.
Notable past works include; being on the Arts team for 'Secret Productions' (Secret Garden Party '14 & '15. Wilderness '15), working as an art apprentice for 'Les Enfants Terrible', on a large immersive theatre piece (Alices Adventures Underground '15, The Vaults) and creating her own live performances using dancers, video and installation (in venues such as The Royal Albert Hall).
